PETRE IFTIMIE

Petre Iftimie studied Classical Guitar Performance at Gh Dima Music Academy, he became active in the progressive metal scene in late 2007 when forming Illuminati alongside his friend Andrei Popa. After releasing “The Core” with Illuminati, Petre became interested in a wide variety of genres ranging from progressive metal to pop and jazz fusion. In 2013 Petre joined Taine where he toured and recorded until 2018. During his time in Taine, he stared collaborating with Adrian Tăbăcaru on various songs that Adrian had composed, eventually being invited to contribute his guitar playing on Lucifer Rock-Opera. After parting ways with Taine, Petre joined X-Factor Romania’s season 2 winner Tudor Turcu as a touring and recording guitarist. At the same time Petre teamed up with singer/songwriter Navi and is one of the founders of Demisec Records Studio. Petre has co-produced Navi’s latest single entitled “Box” and is currently working alongside her on her new record. Even though he parted ways with metal for a while, Petre returned to the scene in December of 2018 by joining Contraband X and recording, mixing and producing the album “False Healer” released in the summer of 2019. Petre is currently a member of Contraband X and a producer at Demisec Records.
